Why I choose Batch Cooking over Meal Prep
In my opinion, meal prep implies that you will be cooking on Sunday for food everyday of the week. But what if you want to enjoy your Sunday? I am more of a proponent of what I call "batch cooking". You cook a certain amount of food whenever you are low on food, eat that same meal for lunch and dinner until the food gets low, and then you start the batch cooking process again. If you are getting lunch or dinners with friends, this allows for that flexibility and then your food will just last you a meal longer, and you delay the next batch cooking session. Food doesn't go to waste and you have more flexibility in your life.
